Yellowfin Tuna Fishing in NC
Joe Coppedge brought the crew from Culpepper Va down to the Outer Banks of North Carolina for some deep sea fishing for Yellowfin tuna and the offshore fishing was great. Sea Note dropped lines about 5 miles South of the point in about 220 fathoms; the water temp was about 72 degrees; the gulfstream current had slowed some to only about 1or 2 knots which makes for good feeding conditions and the fish were biting. We caught the tuna in about 3 hours and headed to back to the Oregon Inlet Fishing Center early to enjoy the rest of Easter Sunday and the beautiful Outer Banks weather. Thanks Jim and Pee Wee; Eric and Marshall Jenkins and Wayne all from the Culpepper area.
