I’m posting a good shot of my winter time mate, Larry T Bailey, as he wires a Bluefin tuna that was hooked on a jig .I marked the fish at about 120 feet down and we had a couple of bites from Bluefin Tuna. All on jigs. The fight on this fish was about 30 minutes but it was an exciting fight since the angler was standing up. This fish was landed and weighed 144 pounds; just the right size for those Stella reels. the water temp was about 74 degrees and we were on the edge of the Gulfstream change approximately 35 miles SE of the Oregon Inlet Fishing Center. There are also good catches of yellowfin tuna coming things look good for spring don’t wait till it gets crowded. Give us a call 252 489 0119.
