Dolphin fishing continues to be good with some tuna showing up for brief times. Jeremey Daniels and his crew from Richmond came to the Oregon Inlet Fishing Center for a birthday/offshore fishing party on May 20. We had good action on dolphin right outa the gate, catching most of the dolphin in about 30 minutes. A sailfish came up in the mist of this action and it was caught by the birthday boy myself. A pair of tuna rounded off the catch; which, is what I should have fished for sooner since they were biting. This afternoon bite of tuna is a good sign of fish to arrive once the full moon phase leaves and the fish start feeding in the morning.
