Here we go again sports fans, OBX tuna fishing out of the Oregon Inlet Fishing Center is off to a go start with great catches of yellowfin tuna and dolphin. Rick Witherow from Richmond Va had his family and friends out for a day offshore.
We started the day out hitting 4 tuna right outa the gate; that action continued all morning with lots of single strikes mixed in with a few smaller throwback tuna. It all added up to a good morning of tuna fishing. Trolling to the south produced a school of dolphin/mahi where we caught one out of three bites. Those mahi strikes were good to see since the box was about full of tuna by then. Sea Note has days open this week starting on Wednesday. We will get you out to the fish tuna and dolphin. I had trouble uploading the photo I’ll post it Facebook.
