Jim Mannese from Milton NY and friends had a good day with a limit of dolphin in the morning. The dolphin catch was about 33 miles east of the Oregon Inlet Fishing Center in 300 feet of water; amongst some scattered gulf weed. This offshore dolphin fishing remains good with limits of fish taken usually in about an hour. The white marlin fishing action remains spotty with some boats releasing a few but not as good as it should be on the OBX at this time of year. Today’s NE winds kept the fleet in and maybe it will improve the offshore fishing for tuna and marlin.
