
Sea Note Captain Benjie Stansky

The CaptainCapt. Benjie Stansky has been a licensed captain since 1978 and has worked in the boat building business for twenty years, working with the most respected names on the Outer Banks. Before building the Sea Note in 1996, He worked for Sheldon Midgette, Buddy Davis, Omie Tillet and Bob Sullivan Coming from a family of waterman, he was educated at the University of Delaware and worked in the Marine Studies department. Fishing professionally began in 1973 out of Lewes and Indian River, Delaware working for the legendary Captain Bill Massey, a true pioneer of the inshore tuna fishery, whom the Massey Canyon of the coast is named after. Since then he has worked on charter and private boats in Palm Beach and Stuart, Florida, the Bahamas, St. Thomas, Puerto Rico, Cozumel, Mexico and hunted giant tuna off Cape Cod and Gloucester, Mass.
